Review: It’s a 10-miracle moisture shampoo

I’ve owned the shampoo for some time now but I never really gave it enough use to see whether it was great or not. Here are my thoughts:

-it smells good its fresh and almost citrus-y

-it doesn’t lather because its sulfate free but its not too thick

-it rinses out nice

-works really well with other brands I mix and match it with

Here’s one thing I know for a fact about moisturizing shampoos now, don’t use a lot. Its moisturizing for a reason so don’t overdo it. I’ve been there and done that. Even with this shampoo I’ll use a dime size at a time.

So if I were to rate it its a 9/10. Its almost perfect. Its not the Alterna caviar moisture shampoo but its close and less pricey. Love the pump it comes in too.

What’s in My Makeup Bag.

I just recently finally bought one of those disposable but also reusable zip-glide like printed bags in bulk from TJMAXX. My friends always tease me over the fact that I own like 14 nice makeup bags yet use a clear storage bag. Here’s the thing, clear bags are the best to find something quick. Up until a couple days ago, I was still using the clear storage bag but the new decorated zip bag is quite lovely. Here’s what I keep in it

-Lucas Papaw

-clarins instant light lip oil mint

-benefit rollerlash in brown

-burberry bronzer

-it cosmetics cc+ illumination “medium”

Great Colors, Great Quality: Jin Soon.

I love nail polish. I love nail polish so much that I would hoard them. I’d generally purchase the YSL ones or the Chanel ones up until late 2012 or so that’s when I started trying the drugstore ones and other brands. Chanel, YSL and Tom Ford polishes got way too out of reach pricewise but I’m willing to pay under 25 for a bottle…but that’s only if its great polish. That’s where Jin Soon comes in. The first shade I ever owned from the brand was a gold top coat like polish called Gala if I’m not wrong. Then I bought mica a crazy shimmery dark charcoal-ish color which was great for autumn but I wore both colors all year long. I loved putting Gala on top of green OPI polishes. Then I found the soubrette shade…it was love at first paint. LOL. It was so unique it was not burgundy it was pearly but dark not quite purple…just perfect. I call it my good luck polish and I wear it a lot. My current favorite that I added to my collection is cantata. The cantata polish is so elegant its perfect for day or night all year round its a pearlescent gray. I’m using this shade for my upcoming dental appointment! I always try to get my hands on epidote but its always sold out! Wishlist!

Out with the old, in with the new

I saved up for quite some time and I finally went all out and bought the body cream I had wanted for some time, some nice holiday cards for friends/family, I’m buying new sweaters, nail polishes, and I’m getting ready to buy that product I dreamed of for so long-i’ll talk about it once I get it. I’m so glad I cut corners to save. I went to sales every chance I had and I saved and tucked away cash like a squirrel hiding nuts. hahaha.

Just to make my belated birthday better, Brandon sends me a package that contained my favorite Australian creams! He made my November. I can tell November is going to be way better than October!

I Didn’t Buy Anything at the Sephora Sale?

I think this might actually be the first year I did not purchase anything from Sephora during their autumn sale. It was the one thing I looked forward to every November. I’d always spend more than I need on crazy cool giftsets and honestly a part of me wanted to purchase a couple things from my favorite hair and skin lines but…then the reality of receiving my Sephora package smashed or looking ran over came to me and I took that sigh and said I cant afford waiting for days for them to pack it(its been an ongoing issue since last year I think)and for me to get the package just to find items smashed or opened and oozing(another incident)and I was like you know what…not this year. I was sad but I am ok with it. I am content with paying full price. I don’t even need all the samples.

I will miss you Sephora but until you change your box to something more sturdy minus the logo so obvious that someone purposely smashes it…I will have to take my business elsewhere. I do miss your birthday month gifts though.

Review: dr brandt XYY A3 foaming cleanser

I bought this months ago when there was a discount being offered at a store. I own the 5oz version and its very easy to use. You can use it on your dry or wet face, 1-2 pumps then wash and it says its good for removing makeup too. Ever since I started taking double cleansing seriously my skin is back to looking clearer. If I’ve taken off all of my makeup the prior night, I just wet my face and wash my face in the morning with this cleanser right now. There is no burning sensation so that’s already great. It smells of fresh orange peels. If you like citrus or clean scents its for you. Might be good for acne prone people too. I think there is a reason why Dr Brandt is my favorite all time skincare line.

October 2017 Empties.

Review: Elizabeth Arden cool glow cheek tint #01 Coral Daze

I can tell you two things: I love the beautyblender blusher and I absolutely dig the Elizabeth Arden cool glow cheek tint. I’m using the coral daze shade and its pretty much a universally flattering coral reminds you of Nars “O” blush. I was and still am a big fan of the Nars “o” and the super-o shades. I loved them so much I bought the glosses of the shade so you can imagine with my current obsession being cushion beauty products I couldn’t pass on this flattering coral color by Elizabeth Arden. I came across it in a magazine I read. I immediately jotted it down and bought it. Not only is it beautiful it smells really nice. I missed my opportunity to purchase the Stila brand one so here was chance to try the cushion blush and its now a staple.

10/10 the scent of the product is incredible. color is also beautiful.

Review: Oribe straight away smoothing blowout cream

Now normally I’m all about the salt sprays or just slapping on some John Masters Organics but the last 2,3 months have been hard on my hair and I can’t go without products that say split end mender or smoothing. I changed my products around and I’m back to using all things repair, detangling, split end mending and or smoothing.

Not long ago, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase this Oribe straight away smoothing blowout cream and as much as I’m not a big blow dry- kinda gal, I was like sounds like something I need. I’ve been more careful about buying what I need and will use soon instead of the lets add more to my backstock. I was so glad I bought it because my straw-like dry hair seems revived, its silky smooth! The elegant oribe scent isn’t bad either. I could be in line and a stranger will say things to me like “what perfume is that its beautiful” I go “its actually my haircare” I always have to sit and think forever when I invest in certain brands because of the price but Oribe hasn’t let me down once. Would I buy another tube in the future? YES!

5fl oz for $44 but I do see some places might charge you $46. I’m going to rate this a 9.5/10 the .5 I took off for the price.

I’m not spiritual but I do love Chic fil-a

Did I spell them right? I just love Chic fil- a. I can’t say enough about how quick I get served, the food being hot(some eateries the sandwiches and meat are still cold NO THANKS)and they cold brew coffee they offer is good. My favorite things include the waffle fries, the cold brew coffee, and their chicken tenders. I just love how I can get 3 pieces just enough to make me feel content. Gone are the days I wait in line to eat way too much Chinese food(which I love don’t get me wrong I miss it)

I’m really just a sucker for all things cooked in peanut oil. You know you love peanut oil when you buy bottles of it to cook healthier options with.
