Review: OUAI scalp & body scrub

I was thinking how I’d start this review because I just can’t express how much I love this scalp and body scrub. As you know I had previously purchased the R+co crown but had no idea if I was to put it on my dry or wet scalp which I now realize is…most likely on wet scalp. What I like about Jen’s products is the fact that she will give you tips it said wet scalp so I was immediately like good–easy. The scrub was a lot of product in it, smells really beautiful, feels gritty enough but not rough on your scalp I believe it somewhat foams once its on and it feels so good. I probably used too much but my scalp/hair did not get oily I finished it with some OUAI conditioner and some of that OUAI rose oil(thank you Sephora sale)

I’m pretty sure its $38 for 8.8oz but I’ll have to edit it if I’m wrong and this would be perfect for someone who uses dry shampoo, likes to co-wash(which I plan to do more after October)or really anyone with dry hair because my hair was so silky yet healthy after one use! FANTASTIC PRODUCT 10/10.

Sephora sale, here’s what I bought.

  • Hello fab triple protection skin tint
  • Youth to the people kale + spinach green tea hyaluronic acid superfood air whip moisture cream
  • OUAI repair conditioner
  • OUAI rose hair & body oil
  • Josie Maran argan daily moisturizer spf47
  • fresh seaberry skin nutrition cleansing oil

I haven’t spent the kinda money I spent at Sephora in years honestly I had a harder time reaching the rouge status simply because I went to other stores BUT I truly enjoyed seeing some of the new brands and items they have started carrying. I gotta admit I was bummed that the umbra tinte was already sold out at the store but the other items from drunk elephant had me so excited. I was telling my friend how excited I am to try the F.A.B. skin tint–once I’m done with umbra tinte I’m using the skin tint. I’m trying to do things the right way where I finish a product and use it up or wait until I get that skin tolerance issue which was the case with my go-to dermalogica smoothing cream. In place of it, I’m using the it cosmetics secret sauce (which I was using along with the smoothing cream)and the La Mer moisturizing soft cream. Im stoked about the Josie Maran moisturizer because that’s definitely my daytime favorite and it’ll cut my routine time and I’ll probably slap on some RMS master mixer around my eyes nose and as a lip product topper and run out the door.

Keratin: You Complete Me.

I swore I was using everything I needed but the dry split ends and tangles they were hard to avoid…until I started using keratin products. My hair is now fluffy and back to almost my high school years smooth and bouncy the best its looked in years. You know what this means, I’m definitely purchasing a bottle of the OGX keratin shampoo soon! I will be repurchasing the its a 10 deep conditioner.

Here are my hair care go to’s:

-ouai smooth shampoo(the shampoo is larger than the conditioner so I realize the price difference of a couple dollars but this shampoo definitely smells better than the conditioner that already smells great—like a boutique or something crazy fancy and elegant)

-its a 10 miracle deep conditioner(can’t remember the whole name off the top of my head but I believe its a deep conditioner in a tube with an orange lid and blue tube)

-Bumble and bumble. while you sleep masque

-Bumble and bumble save the day OR the its a 10 spray “with keratin” orange lid. If its really sunny–like it is here right now I pump two pumps of the save the day but today its just humid and not too sunny!

I still have tangles here and there but nothing that I had and I also suggest the bumble and bumble scalp detox once a week because it is incredible. If anyone uses the Oribe serene scalp–i’d like to know about the product!

Review: Ouai Hair Oil

I’ve owned a couple Ouai items and so far the only one I can’t work out well is the texturizing spray?is that what its called the one in the silver spray can very hard for me to figure out that or I can’t use it right. That being said, everything about the conditioners(I have yet to own a shampoo which I heard are also great)the wave spray, and the hair mask are really, really good. I was lucky enough that Sephora gave me a nice sample for one of their checkout code things and tried the Ouai hair oil!

Here are my thoughts:

-best hair I’ve used and I’ve used many fancy and non fancy names including Oribe and B+B yet I find the Ouai one by far my favorite out of hair oils.

-Soft gardenia scent that isn’t overpowering

-hair is so soft after use

-next day hair also good

-decent pricing for a very popular brand/good item

cons:

-shockingly can’t think of one.

10/10 for me on this one and I use it for special occasions!
